Giving Tuesday 2013 - The Wistar Institute Postdoctoral Program

December 3, 2013

This year, The Wistar Institute is getting involved in Giving Tuesday, a national day of charitable donations inspired by the season of giving. Every cent raised will go toward the postdoctoral research program here at the institute. At any given time, there are literally dozens of young scientists working tirelessly in our labs under the guidance of Wistar’s researchers. They are aiding in the discoveries of today as well as learning how to become the leading scientists and researchers of tomorrow.

"The postdoctoral fellows at The Wistar Institute are the lifeblood of our research program," says Maureen Murphy, Ph.D., who serves as both head of the training committee and chair of the postdoctoral program at the Wistar Institute. "They are the energy that drives our research, and we could not perform cutting-edge science without them. A donation to our postdoctoral program fuels the future generations of science: the future Nobel Laureates, National Academy members, Editors of journals, and heads of Institutes. Please consider donating to support this important and energetic group of young scientists"

In this gallery, you'll meet some of the postdocs and learn about some of their recent accomplishments that allowed them to accelerate their careers as scientists.
