Laurel Hill Cemetery
3822 Ridge Avenue
Philadelphia, PA, 19132

Join The Wistar Institute for a guided tour through Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Scientists at Wistar take on the scariest of diseases every day — cancer, Zika, HIV — fighting to find ways to beat them and help save humanity.  Our scientists have been doing this for generations, bravely tackling terrifying diseases, like german measles or rubella, and eradicating them. Come hear some of the exciting and mysterious stories of generations of scientists and their famous colleagues in Philadelphia, who are now buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery and have impacted the history of the city and the world.  Founded in 1836, Laurel Hill was the first cemetery to be named a National Historical Landmark.

Light reception followed by a guided tour.

Event is free but registration is required.
