The Noreen O'Neill Melanoma Research Symposium: Understanding Melanoma Progression and Therapy Resistance

Symposium
Tuesday, Jun. 30, 2020 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Melanoma is an aggressive, highly heterogeneous disease. Targeted therapies and immunotherapies have brought a substantial improvement in overall patient survival, but long-term success of these treatments is hindered by therapy resistance. While a number of molecular mechanisms underlying resistance and approaches to bypass it are under investigation, many challenges remain ahead. We will focus on new models and strategies to investigate key aspects of melanoma progression and metastasis and novel approaches to overcome therapy resistance.
