The Institute’s independent nonprofit status creates a platform for our researchers to do original thinking and breakthrough research while also providing a community of collaboration – similar to a research “think tank” – not often found in larger medical and academic institutions. The Wistar Institute is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit 501(c)3 with a federal tax ID (EIN) of 23-6434390.
