Two Top Wistar Scientists Appointed to Endowed Professorships
Darien

The Wistar Institute has appointed Dmitry I. Gabrilovich, M.D., Ph.D., a professor in the Tumor Microenvironment and Metastasis Program, to be the Christopher M. Davis Professor in Cancer Research, and Ramana V. Davuluri, Ph.D., an associate professor in the Molecular and Cellular Oncogenesis Program, to be the Tobin Kestenbaum Family Professor in Neuroscience. These generous endowments strengthen The Wistar Institute by providing lasting support for decades of research to come.

Endowed professorships fuel Wistar’s dynamic environment of freedom and discovery to pursue cutting edge science, and the ability to recruit and retain outstanding scientists. As the Robert and Penny Fox Tower prepares to open in the spring of 2014, these endowments are a permanent legacy to the Davis, Tobin, and Kestenbaum families—longtime supporters of Wistar.
