The Wistar Library

Access the Wistar Library catalog, a resource for external and internal users, containing current titles as well as rare books.

The Wistar Library’s collections and services are structured to meet the current research needs of its scientific staff. The primary mission is to provide information services to research faculty, visiting scientists, staff, and students working at the Institute. Public services include Interlibrary Loan and permissions/rights and reproductions for Wistar Press publications prior to 1980.

As the Institute undergoes extensive building renovation, access to the archives and museum collections will be limited. When possible, research assistance and reference services pertaining to these special collections can be arranged by contacting April Miller, Director of Library Services.

For individuals outside of Wistar, the links to the lower right offer access to publicly available information resources. These include Wistar’s OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) and a growing collection of links to high-quality websites of interest to the community.
